Kylie's International Blog Highlight July 2019 - Back On Your Feet - Vote for Me
StampinwithAnita July 01, 2019
Hello friends and welcome to my blog post for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Hop for July 2019 with the theme of encouragement.
I just love to color, pretty much with any medium, and the new Back On Your Feet stamp is so much fun and perfect for an encouragement card.
I used the new Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and Stampin' Up! ink refills to color the card. I do like this new paper! With ink refills, I find it works best if you tape down your piece to a non-porous board with delicate painters tape. Using a watercolor paint brush I'll wet the background well and then water down the reinkers, too. This the wet-on-wet technique that works the best, so that you get a soft look and not hard drops of color.
The colors I used are listed below and also remember to always try and leave white in your coloring. It gives a sparkle to the image. Try this test: Stamp 2 images: 1 image completely color in solid. The second image, color so that white bits are left and compare the 2. You'll see the one with white is much more appealing.
Once totally dry, I die cut the piece with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit. The card was finished with a sentiment from the same set. Perfect for someone who has had an illness or just needs a boost.

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
