Flowers for a Get Well card

Hi friends - just a quick post today to play along with a few challenge which I always enjoy! I started with the Color Throwdown #681: celery green, sage green, pale pink and plum:
I am using a retired die set from Sizzix which I haven't used before: Free Style Florals by Sophie Guilar.

So that is my NBUS:
Lastly, Anything Goes with Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #538:
Some products I used for this card:
Pink and Main Garden Gate Embossing Folder:  Love this - since I received it in the Dragonfly Monthly Subscription Box, I have used it on almost every card. It makes an incredible deep embossed design and can be used front or back. I love it white on white, but in this card I used an ink blended background.
Distress Inks: Shabby Shutter, Bundles Sage, Tattered Rose
Altenew Inks: Ultraviolet, Deep Iris, Pink Diamond and Grapevine
The Grey Muse: Blooming Cup (retired)
Can you see that amazing embossing folder?!!
Well that's it, die cut watercolor paper, ink blend and create a layout. I think it make a great get well card. Thanks for joining me today!

Sparkly Easter Card

Hi all! Today I have a sparkly Easter card to share with you and 3 challenges:
Not 2 Shabby February  Monthly Challenge with a mood board. I was inspired by the Easter image in the top right corner:
And NBUS Challenge #35 (Never Before Used Schtuff) since I have never used the MFT Stamp and coordinating die set before called BB Spring Gnomes.

Here they are: I fell in love with these images:
I usually buy the coordinating die if I can, even though I have a Scan 'n Cut. I like the inside bits to be cut out, too and I don't know if the Scan 'N Cut will do that (look at the basket and the flower). If you are reading this and know how that works, let me know!
Although hard to see in the pictures, I started with A Colorful Life Designs stencil called Bunny Garden:
Using Brutus Monroe's Glitter Glaze - Fallen Snow (love this stuff - I am on my 2nd jar!) and Thermo O Web Stencil Pal I applied a thin layer through the stencil. Just be sure to clean your tools right away!

I colored the images with various alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating Die-Namics. To keep with the sketch challenge, I popped them up on 3 stitched die cut rectangles with a strip of silver glitter cardstock behind them.
Here I tried to show you the wonderful sparkle in the background, but the pictures are not as good as reality.
The sentiments are from retired sets I have in my stash, also NBUS.
Thank you for visiting and thanks to the challenges for inspiring creativity!

Play Time with Pink & Black

Another go at the Pink & Black Challenge over at the Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges:
I follow a very talented artist on You Tube called Zsoka Marko. She is a wonderful artist with an eye for color and design. She has started her own Stamp Company called "A Pocket Full of Happiness" and I follow her on that You Tube as well! I recently received my first order from Zsoka and this lovely set was one of the items I chose: Spread Your Wings Stamp Set:
I couldn't wait to play with it and I thought the Challenge from Paper Dragonfly was perfect - it would limit my color choices. I went through all of my stamps and pulled all the various pinks from Scrapbook.com, Altenew, Simon Hurley and The Stamp Market and just stamped for hours. My black is always Altenew's Obsidian Black Ink, the darkest, crispest ink I've found.
This is something you can do while watching TV with the family, for you don't need to much thought to go into it. Here are just some of the cards I made with the backgrounds. Mother's Day in February? Well, I make and sell cards for 3 shops so I am always working ahead of the actual holiday.
Wintertime lighting is hard to get even color, but you get the idea!
They stamped beautifully and were very easy to layer.
I love the scripty font of the sentiment that came with the set. It's very easy to read, which is a plus, for some scripty stamp sets, I can't read at all!
Here are some leftovers background to put in my stash and use another day. The Art Deco looking one in the middle is from an Hero Arts My Monthly Hero long sold out. I just went through my stash and added black here and there between the stamping with small stamps.
Thank you, Zsoka, for all the inspiration and your high quality products. I look forward to playing with my other purchases from A Pocket Full of Happiness!

I am also submitting to NBUS as a new never used set:

Pink & Black

Hi friends! I am playing along with Challenge #2 for Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges - use Pink & Black:
I had a blast with this challenge and will be writing one more blog about it. For this card, I used from my neglected stash: Hero Arts My Monthly Hero from April 2021 (sold out). This kit was Art Deco in it's theme and it had a dragonfly stamp and die in the set.
I just stamped white cardstock with various pink inks I had in my stash from Altenew and The Stamp Market. I filled on the tiny holes in the wings with a black copic pen. The sentiment is from a retired MFT set called Birthday Greetings. The dots around the stamp come from one of the first sets I ever purchased at Michaels. A few enamel dots and I'm done!
Thanks for joining me today and join us with the Pink and Black challenge!

Winter Scene

I love to create a CAS card and today I also got to use a snippet from my stash. Love that! This card will be entered into 3 challenges:
I have had this Crafter's Essential Winter Dies by Kat Scrappiness in my stash for several years now. This set is one of my favorites  - I love to use all 5 parts of it: the background with the swirls is perfect white on white, as well as, the snow hills with the stitching. Today's card used 4 of the dies:
To begin the CAS Winter Scene I started with the watercolored trees I had on my desk since last year (snippet). I had cut the trees from Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper and dropped in watercolor with a wet on wet technique so that the colors would blend. Not sure at this point which watercolors I used, but any would work for this technique.
The deer was cut from several layers of white card stock and lastly gold glitter card stock. All adhered together for a nice sturdy element.
The sentiment was heat embossed in a pretty sparkly gold - Nuvo Glitter Embossing Powder Gold Enchantment. Want to talk about glittery? This embossing powder is amazing. The sentiment is from a Power Poppy stamp set called Cozy Cupfuls. A beautiful set I have had for many years now.
All in all a really simple but (I think) striking Clean and Simple card which I am happy to add to my Christmas stash. Thank you for joining me today and to the challenges for their inspiration!

4 Calling Birds

I am determined to keep creating Christmas Cards all year long and when I saw the challenge from Jingle Bells I just had to join in:
There were several options in the challenge and the last one was "And your final choice is to create a holiday card that references any aspect of the song *The Twelve Days of Christmas*"  It's pretty clear I picked "4 Calling Birds"!
I have this very old set from Penny Black actually called "12 Days of Christmas" and the 12 stamps are so cute! I had created a card with "3 French Hens" for CAS Christmas Card Challenge August 2020:
I am so glad I have this set:
Lot of fun making with this set for sure:
Don't you just love these birds dialing or texting on their phones?
Here is the inside message using the Essential by Ellen "Besties" and Altenew's "Happy Holiday":
Thank you for joining me and here are links for some of the products I used to make this card:
