Welcome to my blog post for both a Color Challenge by Hand Stamped Sentiments #318 and a sketch challenge, Fusion - Triangle, and:
I actually created 2 cards and the other card blog will go live, July 8, 2019 at 5PM:
https://www.stampinwithanita.com/2019/07/kylies-demonstrator-training-blog-hop.html
Here are both cards:
I don't want to bore you with a duplicate blog post so I will just tell you the difference between the two.
The background for today's post was created with 2 layers of Very Vanilla glued together with Tombow to make a more heavier weight base. I ran this piece through the Big Shot with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder which gives it a beautiful linen look. Hard to capture in the picture, but one of my favorite backgrounds for its delicate, clean and simple look.
The coloring was down at the same time, although I tried to leave white "sparkles" on both I think this piece was more successful. Usually when I color, no matter what medium, I do 2 or 3 samples, for your coloring will get better with practice. I used a light grey Stampin "N Blend to ground the base of the cake plate.
The layering piece on the side was created with the Layering Square Dies and the placement was strictly based on the Fusion sketch.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a change to take a look the the blog going live tomorrow.

Welcome

I am a wife of 45 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
