Hi friends! I am back from vacation and having fun getting some Christmas cards done. Christmas in July is always an easy, no pressure, just create time. The challenges I am participating in are both a sketch challenge and a color challenge:
My thought process for this card was Christmas because of the red and green color. I love the Dashing Deer stamps set with the Detailed Deer Thinlits that coordinate.
The ribbon along the edge was die cut with the Arts & Craft Die with Shaded Spruce card stock. I made my own matching paper by stamping the small holly dies images (there are 2) from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set multiple times with Shaded Spruce ink. The deer were stamped with Memento Black Ink several times using the Stamparatus to get that nice dark crisp image and then die cut.
The layout, of course, is from the Sunday Stamps Challenge and I used both Tombow Liquid Adhesive and Stampin' Dimensionals to pop some up and keep some flat. I finished with a few Glitter Enamel Dots in red.
The sentiments are from the Merry Christmas To All and the Dashing Deer stamps sets.
I am trying to finish the inside of my cards, too, so that come Christmas they are ready to sign and mail.

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
