With Love with A Colorful Life Designs

My month as the Guest Designer for A Colorful Life Designs is going by so quickly! Today card is very subtle but that is just the type a background I love. It's there and creates all the drama in a quiet way. If you do shop at A Colorful Life Designs click on the links in this blog to their website and use my discount code: AnitaFan10 for 10% off your entire order!
Today's stencil is called Stylized Four Petals and it is such a versatile stencil:
I choose to ink blend only one color: Ranger Ink's Distress Oxide - Salvaged Patina darker where I wanted the focal point and fade out to the edges:
I cut the panel with Penny Black Dainty Dashes Stackers for a design around the edge of the card panel. I almost always use a die to cut a card front panel for some reason I can't ever cut the panel straight with my cutter!
The rest of the die cuts on the card came from Sizzix: Flowers in Umbrella #665180. Even the little bird. I die cut most of the flowers and umbrella from scraps of watercolored paper I had in my stash where I was playing with Ken Oliver's Watercolor Powder:
You get those fun bursts of color and I tried to line up the die cuts to reflect those smatterings of color.
I've left the inside blank until I have an occasion to use this card - birthday, thinking of you, baby or bridal shower...lots of different occasions. But it all tied together with the Stylized Four Petals stencil!
Thank you for sticking to the end and I will be posting my card to the following challenges:
