Bridal Shower with ACLD

Hi friends and welcome to my 2nd blog post for May 2022 as Guest Designer for A Colorful Life Designs...a wonderful stencil company in the USA.
As you may have guessed from the 2 pictures, I made 2 Bridal Shower cards for my granddaughter, who is getting married in July. We flew to NY for one of her showers and I brought a card for my sister to give her and one for me.
I love being able to make a customized card for my friends and family. Her bridal colors are Dusty Rose and Silver and that gave me my jumping off point for her cards. When I saw the stencil called Big Fat Drops I knew it would be perfect for a "shower" card with umbrellas.
I started with Brutus Monroe's Glitter Glaze - Fallen Snow and using a pallet knife selected the area of the stencil I wanted the glittered drops on the card - leaving room for the sentiment and no drops under the umbrella! I used a white pigment ink through a floral stencil over the dusty rose color and cut out using a die I had in my stash. In keeping with the wedding colors  - I used silver cardstock for the handle.
The second card had pretty much the same process, but I used some previously colored pinkish watercolor paper for the umbrella and an outside border die by Penny Black called Dainty Dashes Stackers.
The umbrella and inside sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh's Rainy Days Stamp Set and coordinating die. The outside sentiment is from Ranger Ink's Letter It Clear Stamp Set called Shower (very good one to have in one's stash):
Love this inside sentiment from Pretty Pink Posh Rainy Days Stamp Set:
Thank you for joining me today and I hope you have a chance to check out A Colorful Life Designs....so many great stencils!
