Time for a reminder to join in Penny Blacks' Saturday Challenge - Masculine or Anything Goes! It's not too late!
This is my 3rd card as Guest Designer for June 2023! I used all the same products, but in several different ways.
For this card I used the Textural Creative Die to make a complete background. The Immense Enjoyment Die and the cutie from the Friendship Stamp are the same as in my previous blog post here.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you Enjoy The Little Things!
Also thank you to the team at The Penny Black Saturday Challenge for inviting me to be Guest Designer...always fun!

Beautiful Blossoms June 2023

June and it's time for The Beautiful Blossom Challenge! Just look at these colors - gorgeous!
Of course I was totally inspired by the lilacs and the touch of green stems.
 First, I colored the digital image from Julie Spiro: Hydrangea GrayScale - printed on Taylored Expression's Watercolored Card Stock. Next, I watercolored with Daniel Smith's 238 Dot Set.  I wasn't entirely happy with it, so I die cut it with The Stamp Market's Ready To Bloom Card Cover Die. Then I loved it!
The background card stock is also from Taylored Expression's 118 lb. Watercolor Card Stock. I watercolored the background is a messy manner and dropped in some Perfect Pearls Pigment Powder in Gold.
A few yellow enamel dots and not it is perfect for a floral lover friend's birthday!
Here is an additional card I made with lilac color as my inspiration:
The digital image is from Julia Spiro Hydrangea GrayScale:
Printed on a laser printer and watercolored with Daniel Smith's 238 Dot Set.
Thanks for joining me and I hope you come play along at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge for June 2023!

Varada Sharma Cake

It's June and time for Paper Funday Challenge! Our generous sponsor was Varada Sharma and I used the Cake Digital Stamp from "Your Special Day":
One digital stamp can be used in so many ways: One large focal interest or multiplied many times to create an all-over background.
All of these images were printed on Ranger Ink's Distress Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock with my laser printer. All were watercolored with The Stamp Market's 24 Pan Color Crush Watercolor Palette.
What else did I use to make these cards?
1) Pretty Pink Posh Stencils - Pretty Petals and Triangles;
2) The Stamp Market - Tropic Teal Ink (my favorite color!);
3) Spellbinders - Hemstitch Rectangles;
4) Spellbinders - Sugar Coated Sentiments (retired);
5) Pretty Pink Posh -  Stitched Border 1;
6) The Stamp Market  - Party Pink;
7) Penny Black - Dainty Dashes Stackers;
8) Silver Brushes - Black Velvet - Size 8;
I went a little heavier handed with this watercolored panel:
Here are 2 Digital stamps - formatted and printed the same, but water colored and finished differently:
Thanks so much for sticking to the end! I hope you come along and play with us at The Paper Funday Challenge this month - anything goes.

Hello Friend - HLS June 2023

I started with a 6" X 6" Stencil called My ABCs from A Colorful Life Designs. Ink blended Distress Oxide Ink Wild Honey and then used a Cover Die from my stash to die cut.
The flower is from Sizzix's Wild Flowers Stem #3 - die cut 3X from Ranger's Distress Ink Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock. I used Distress Inks to color, as well.
The sentiment is from Tim Holtz Simple Sayings by Stampers Anonymous. This is a great basic to have in your stash... and Stampers Anonymous never retires their products!
A wonderfully simple card - all begins with a great stencil! Come join us and play along...

PBSC Masculine

Greetings all! And welcome to my Guest Designer Post for Penny Black's Saturday Challenge. I love Penny Black products and find them very creative and versatile! The challenge for this month is Masculine, but as always, also, "Anything Goes". For my cards I was inspired by the Jill Foster and Penny Black You tube Channel.
I had recently purchased the Immense Enjoyment Die and really wanted to stripe it up! I have the 3 piece Slim Stripes Die Set from PinkFresh Studio and quickly cut blues, lime green and white stipes from my cardstock stash. I like the nice die cut edge each stripe has. I wanted that clean-cut nautical look. Very preppy!
With a good supply of paper strips cut (of course you could cut with your paper trimmer) I used a piece of copy paper and just laid stripes of roller adhesive on it. Then it is just a matter of putting down your cut stripes in a manner that is pleasing to you.
Then simply cut out the Immense Enjoyment Die where you'd like the colors to be. I always use my Sizzix -Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I have had 2 over about 40 years and they have never let me down. They are the OG of die cutting machine!
I made 2 cards for this post using the following products:
1) Penny Black Friendship Stamp - stamped and fussy cut the cut doggies!
2) Penny Black Immense Enjoyment (the die for the word "Enjoy");
3) Penny Black Textural Creative Die - the cool design at the bottom of the cards;
4) Penny Black Enjoy Builder Stamp Set - all the sentiments shown.
5) PinkFresh Studio Slim Stripes Dies - stripes of cardstock to build the paper for die cutting the word "Enjoy";
6) Gina K. Designs 100 lb. Card Stock for the bases. My prefer card stock weight. Not too thick to fold, doesn't crack, and sturdy!
7) OLO Markers for coloring the images. These are great markers for coloring!

For this card I used all the same products. The base is from Gina K. Designs Turquoise Sea 100 lb. card stock. This little guy is "Bennett" my daughter's Laborador! He is actually a chocolate lab as in the card above, but in this card he is grey!
Clean and Simple but has lots in interest!
Here is the cute cute Friendship stamp from Penny Black:
Here's a close up of Bennett:
Lastly, here are another couple of cards I made with Penny Black's Friendship Stamp back in 2021 for The Card Concept Challenge:
Fun, fun products and as you can see can be used in may different ways. If you haven't tried Penny Black stamps and dies, give it a try and let's see your creativity on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.

Beautiful Blossoms May 2023

Welcome friends! It's mid-May and time for a Beautiful Blossoms Challenge. Here is the inspiration board:
I was totally inspired by the top left corner picture with the bright beautiful flowers, so much so, I made 2 different cards:
The flowers were cut out of Taylored Expressions Watercolor Paper with the Be Bold Blooms die set from Spellbinders. I used the Altenew's 36 Pan Watercolor Pallete to color all the flowers and leaves.
The sentiments are from Altenew's Birthday Builders Stamp Set. This is such a great set to have in your stash. So very versatile. This set has 18 different fonts which can be mixed and matched 300 different ways.
The card above has Hero Arts Lacquer Pen - Sparkle Pen. Leaves such a great shine!
The flowers above were edged with Ranger Ink - Tim Holtz - Gilded Foundry Wax.
It comes in a 2 part kit, Mined is the other wax. Once applied, it is heated with a heat gun and melted. I can't seem to pick up the beautiful color. It looks dark in the pictures, but it really a beautiful shiny gold.
Overall, I love a card with plenty of white, texture and bright colors. Thank you for sticking to the end and I hope to see you at The Beautiful Blossoms May Challenge!

HLS Stencil May 2023

Welcome to the Happy Little Stamper Stencil Challenge for May 2023 where anything goes!
My card today uses many different brands of products from my stash, but I think they all work together well.
My stencil in the background is from A Colorful Life Designs called Polka Dot Stencil. I ink blended Scrapbook.com Hybrid Ink - Cyan then moved the stencil slightly and used Scrapbook.com Hybrid Ink - Pear.  Then I ran it through my Big Shot with Altenew's Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die for stitches and movement in the background.
The floral stamps and dies are from Altenew's Fresh Bloom Layering Stamp & Die Set. One day I played with this set all day and tried all different inks from both Altenew and Scrapbook.com...kind of lost track of which blues and greens, but with this set anything works. I really liked the floral image in pinks, as well.
For the center of the flowers I dabbed some Ranger Ink - Simon Hurley - Lunar Paste in Shooting Star for a little texture. The sentiment comes from Brutus Monroe's Stamp Set called Sharon's Script. This set is one of my absolute favorites of all times for the font and variety of sentiments. There are not too many occasions for which this set wouldn't work.
I inked "Just a Note" with Scrapbook.com's White Pigment Ink several times on Lawn Fawn Black Licorice card stock. Then I sprinkled Ranger Ink's Super Fine White Embossing Powder on it and heat set. I cut it out by hand around the edges - I like that look. This is my preferred way to white heat emboss on black.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you over at our HLS Stencil Challenge this month!
