Welcome to my blog post for the Just Add Ink #447 challenge.
I made this St. Patty's Day card for an Irish friend that I remember every year with a card for the holiday. She no longer lives near me, but is often in my thoughts.
I used the "Dear Doily" set in an emboss resist method on Whisper White Card stock. The following colors were used for ink blending with Stampin' Sponges- Mint Macaron, Pool Part and Lemon Lime Twist.
The sentiment from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set was stamped with "Call Me Clover" onto a Whisper White card stock piece. This was an oval in the "Stitched Shaped Framelits" set cut through the Big Shot. The Shamrock is from the "Amazing Life" stamp set and stamped with Call Me Clover and fussy cut with "Paper Snips".
The card base is cut from Granny Apple Green, the next layer is Very Vanilla and the top piece was run through the Big Shot with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit. Polka Dot Tulle ribbon was tie around the top piece, layered with the sentiment and all layered with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.
The inside is a simple sentiment from the "Bubbles & Bubbly" stamp set which is perfect for this holiday for her. I also stamped an envelope to match.
Fun card and I hope she enjoys it! If you would like to recreate this card or use any Stampin' Up! products, please click on the images below to be taken directly to my online store 24/7. Thanks for sticking to the end!

Welcome

I am a wife of 45 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
