Welcome all to Kylie Bertucci's International Blog for February 2019 with the theme of "Encouragement". I have been wanting to try and make a "Galaxy" card for a while now and just received the "Little Twinkle" stamp set so I thought now was the time!
To make the galaxy background, I die cut a large sheet of masking paper with the largest Circle Layering Framelit. Using a full sheet of Stampin' Up! watercolor paper cut in half, I made 2 cards - one with the circle masked and the other with the negative masked.
Using Stampin' Sponges I ink blended the exposed paper with 4 different colors: Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape. After the background was complete, I ink blended over all of the paper with Memento Black Ink to create the sky look.
I splattered the "sky" with water-down Craft White Ink reinker and a brush. Finally I stamp a few of the stars and constellation from the Little Twinkle set with Craft White Ink.
The sentiments are from the "Sorry For Everything" and "Dandelion Wishes" stamp set. Finished with Enamel Dots and Basic Self Adhesive Sequins. I also used a strip of the galaxy paper and adhered it to a Stampin' Up! white envelope and trimmed it to fit. Perfect match!
I hope your enjoyed this card and on this hop you can vote for me! Here is the link - http://bit.ly/ Feb2019KyliesHighlightsVote ForMe

Welcome

I am a wife of 45 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
