As the winner of WWYS#203, I now have the great pleasure to be guest designer this week for WWYS#206:
This is really an "amazing" stamp set! The more I worked with it, the more ideas I had. I thought it would be fun to update my first winning card challenge from March 2018:
Using the cake image from the "Amazing Life" set, I stamped it 3 times with Memento Black Ink on Shimmery White Paper. I wasn't sure if I was going to watercolor or use the Stampin 'n Blends, Stampin' Up!'s alcohol markers. I went with Flirty Flamingo and light Pumpkin Pie Stamp 'n Blends.I fussy cut the 3 images with Paper Snips.
The background was created by ink blending on Shimmery White Paper with Coastal Cabana and So Saffron ink with Stampin' Sponges (cut in 6ths). I use a handle on the sponges made with Circle Tab Punch to keep my fingers clean and also because they are easier to hold.
There is a beautiful lace border stamp in this set which I used to create a "Shelf". That image and the "bursts" above the candles are both gold embossed and heat set. The card and sentiment were popped up with fun foam for a clean and simple look. The simple Metallic Pearls were added to mimic the flowers on my inspiration card.
Many thanks to the Design Team at What Will You Stamp for allowing me to join in as a designer today!

Welcome

I am a wife of 45 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
