Welcome to my blog for Hand Stamped Sentiments Sketch Challenge #308 combined with my Stampin' Up! demo team, Stamping For Others, team challenge to make 11 eleven cards with different themes. My theme for this card is to use "Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalog".
As usual, I made 2 cards just changing out a few bits and pieces. First I used embossing folders and ran Whisper White card stock through them in the Big Shot. I used the "Gingham Gala" and the "How Sweet It Is" Designer Series Paper (DSP) along with "Pick a Pattern" Washi tape to create the focal image as shown on the sketch. Since the image itself was die cut from the DSP, there was not a lot of coloring for this card. Only a bit of "Wink of Stella" on the candy.
A simple sentiment was stamped & cut out using a framelit from the Apron Builders set and the Needlepoint Elements Framelits (this had to be fussy cut). A little ink was sponged around the edges with Coastal Cabana and a few "Basic Rhinestones" finished it off.
Fun and simple card just using already created paper and images. Like to purchase any of these items? Just click on the links below and you'll be taken directly to my Stampin' Up! 24/7 shop. Thanks for sticking to the end!

Welcome

I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
