Just a quick post today with a sympathy card I made recently for a friend who lost her best friend. Unfortunately, these are the types of cards we need on hand at all times for the unexpected.
I used the colors for the entire card from the Colour Inkspiration Challenge #48 (see previous blog post).
Using the "Playful Backgrounds" stamp set, the solid bubbles were stamped with Tranquil Tide ink in the center and as I move towards the edges, I used only part of the stamp, stamped-off onto scrap paper and then stamp onto the card so that the bubbles would be lighter and lighter.
The circular bubbles were gold heat embossed using Versamark Ink and Gold Embossing Powder right over top of the solid bubbles.
The butterflies are from the "Painted Glass" stamp set and as I had a few left over from the CI#48 challenge I just stamped and gold heat embossed a couple more. They were watercolored, wet-on-wet with Calypso Coral reinkers on Whisper White Thick cardstock. Then they were die-cut using the butterfly from the matching Stained Glass Thinlits.
The sentiment is from the new "Golden Afternoon" stamp set which is in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. Perfect set to create multiple sympathy, thinking of you, type cards.
Thank you for sticking to the end and here are the links to purchase any of these items in my online store:

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
