AECP#6 Let It Shine with Summer Swirls

Hello friends and welcome to my blog post for the "Let It Shine" classes from Altenew Academy. This card will be a submittal for my AECP (Altenew Education Certification Program).
Carissa Wiley was the instructor for this class. Those that know Carissa from her blog "Sprinkled with Glitter" knows that she loves her bling. Her classes covered all the ways to add sparkle to your cards and there are many! I used this fun set from Altenew called Summer Swirls. I have the stamp and die bundle so really easy to pop up images on the cards.
Carissa spoke several times about creating a "landing zone" for your images. For the both cards I dry embossed 2 circle images with circle dies in my stash. I heat embossed heats with Nuvo Glitter Gold Enchantment Embossing Powder. Unbelievably sparkly!
The other ways I added "shine" base on Carissa's advise were: stickles on the ice cream, gold card stock on edge of the card and sprinkling regular glitter over the areas where I used my Quickie Glue Pen. I forgot how much I love to add glitter on cards and I have quite a bit in my stash!
One last card I made with this great set from Altenew. Also, I used a silver metallic pen to mimic chrome on the truck.
Here a look at all three cards made with lots of sparkle and shine:
Thank you for visiting today. These classes are well worth your time if you are interested in expanding your creative process. Give them a try!
