#TGIFC216 & SFO Team Weekly Challenge #4

Hi all and welcome to my blog post for a sketch challenge from TGIF Challenges (for more information on TGIF Challenges  just click on the image to get more details) and a coloring challenge for my Stampin' Up! team, Stamping For Others - we were asked to color something and explain what medium we used.
I started with Pool Party and the Buffalo Check stamp set to create the flag portion. I stamped a full sheet - 4 1/2" X 5 1/2" and cut in down to 2" wide trying to make the plaid even. I used the Banner Triple Punch to create the flag end.

The large bird from the Free As a Bird stamp set was stamped on Whisper White with Memento Black ink. I colored with Stamp 'N Blends, Stampin' Up!'s alcohol markers. I use a sketchy stroke to color with alcohol markers and always try to leave white to create a sparkle in the image.
I die cut the bird image with a Layering Circle Framelit and also the sentiment, Hello, with a small Stitched Nested Label Die. The base of the A2 card stock is made with Whisper White Thick and the front was run through the Big Shot with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the perfect white on white background.

The circle was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals while the flag was glued with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The finishing touches was the addition of piece of the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots.

Part of our challenge for my SFO other team was to mail the card, too! Mmmm...who should receive it? I kept it pretty generic so I can have options.

Thanks for staying with me until the end of the post and if you'd like to purchase any of these high quality products from Stampin' Up! just click on a link below:
