I wanted to participate in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for this week and my card is loosely inspire by the sketch:
The card was made by stamping the beautiful plaid type image from the Little Elephant stamp set with a rainbow of colors. I used an acrylic block for stamping and just "eye-balled" the layers. I was really pleased with the outcome! I cut the finished, stamped piece with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit.
Next I stamped (2 step stamp) and punched the dog from the Dog Builder set. I also punched 3 hearts using the same punch. A thin rectangle frame was cut from Bermuda Bay card stock and glued with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The center rainbow piece was glued the same way. I like using the liquid glue so that I have a little bit of "wriggle" room to get it straight.
The sentiment was from the same set, but I hand cut the word "Sorry" and glued flat to the card. The inside is a beautiful sentiment from the same set:
Losing a family dog is devastating and having a pet sympathy card on hand to send is a perfect way to offer condolences.

Welcome

I am a wife of 45 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
