Welcome to Day #3 of My Favorite Things Summer School Class with a design theory of Symmetry:
I combined Symmetry with MFT's Color Challenge with Milk Chocolate, Tickled Pink, Coral Crush and Summer Splash. I actually used Kuretake Zigs in Light Carmine, Flesh Colour, Light Pink, Light Blue and Mid Brown.
I used MFT's Our Story Stamp set to create this peaceful scene and the thought bubble and sentiments are from MFT's Magical Friends. Both darling sets. I don't have the coordinating dies, so I used my Brother Scan 'n Cut. For some reason the right lamp is a little wonky, but I am still going with symmetry!
The "carpet" was ink blended with Distress Oxide Old Paper and the "Wallpaper" is a retired MFT stencil called On the Diagonal. I thought it gave me the perfect symmetry starting from the middle as we were taught in class.
Love these sentiments and I have just the special person in mind to which to send this. Thanks for visiting today and stayed tuned - 2 more days of Summer School!

Welcome

I am a wife of 47 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
