Hi friends! I am pleased to be joining the Global Project Design Challenge for my first time. I saw this sketch challenge and thought is was perfect for my continuing love of the Birds of a Feather stamp set. Let's make a fun Thanksgiving card!
To create the horizontal stripe, I used the Polka Dot stencil now available in the Holiday Catalog...set of 4 different stencils for $6.00:
I used a Stampin' Sponge section to ink blend the color onto Whisper White card stock:
Once I removed the stencil, I stamped the dotted row from the Swirly Frames set in Blackberry Bliss.
The background circle was cut from Blackberry Bliss using the Stitched Shapes Dies. I next stamped the sentiment from the set "give THANKS" with Crushed Curry, multiple times, on Whisper White card stock and then die cut it out with a smaller Stitched Shapes Die. These dies leave a beautiful stitched line around the edge.
I stamped the fun turkey image with Memento Black ink and colored in with Stampin' Blends of various colors (shown below). I fussy cut it out with our Paper Snips. Everything was adhered together with Tombow Liquid Adhesive, except for our turkey, which was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The final touch was a few curry colored Holiday Rhinestones here and there.
The inside was just a simple sentiment from the same Birds of a Feather stamp set.
I hope you enjoyed this card with our Holiday Baking Turkey! Thanks for sticking to the end and if you would like to purchase any items shown and make your own fun holiday characters...think place cards, gift tags, labels on the back of envelopes, etc. just click on the links below!

Welcome

I am a wife of 44 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
