Hi all! Welcome to my blog post for my 3rd thank you card made for my daughter, Kristin. If you've read my last 2 blog posts you'll know that she requested 3 thank you cards from me - a masculine card, a bright and cheery card and a beach card. And here is the beach thank you card.
The card is for a couple so I thought 2 chairs and 2 beverages were perfect. High Tide stamp set was used for the sand, the grass, the water and the glasses. The Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies were used to cut the adirondack chairs out of Wood Textures DSP and Crumb Cake card stock. I layered the 2 pieces together with Tombow Liquid Adhesive to make the chairs a bit sturdier.
To create the sinking sun, I cut a piece a masking tape with a 3/4" punch on the edge so that it was not a complete circle. I placed the negative over the top of the blue water and ink blended (Stampin' Sponges) a little Crushed Curry pulling some into the water for reflection.
Here are all 3 thank you cards: Bright & Cheery:

Finally, the Beach card!
Kristin loved the cards and I enjoyed making them for her. If you like to purchase any Stampin' Up! items from my online store for the Beach card just click on the links below. I appreciate you stopping by!

Welcome

I am a wife of 47 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
