Sunday Stamps Challenge SSC195

Welcome to my blog for my first challenge submittal for the Sunday Stamps Challenges. The challenge is to use at least 3 of the colors shown below plus one neutral from any stamp company.
I choose to use all of the colors using Stampin' Up! products: Balmy Blue (stamped off to lighten), Gray Granite, Cajun Craze, So Saffron and Early Espresso. This was so fun to stamp the background with the new "Bloom by Bloom" set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, I made 5 cards in total! The colors and paper created reminded me of fabric from years ago so I went with the "Free Cake" stamp set which has "Retro" sentiments.

My last card use the "Sunny Days" stamp set with a white heat-embossed sentiment.
This stamp set was so much fun to play with, especially in these colors!

NC Demos December 2018 Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog post for the NC Demos hop for December!  Always a busy time of the year for everyone and this year I worked on swap cards to exchange with my fellow NC Demos. Eleven cards were to be made. 10 to exchange and 1 to keep. The cards also met the hop theme of Sale-A-Bration Celebration!

I am a huge tea fan and I was excited to see the new Tea Together stamp set in the Occasions catalog. The bonus was that I was able to receive the matching framelits FREE (with a $100 purchase) from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. There are 2 levels of free products with Sale-A-Bration - spend $50 or $100, before tax and shipping, and you qualify for 1 free item for each $50 spent or 1 free item with an $100 purchase.
I made 10 cards, 2 of each color using the Gingham Gala designer series paper. The surprise is that the tea cup is a card in itself and opens to reveal a message! Simple fold  6" wide card stock in half, score and run the tea cup framelit with the top off of the edge through the Big Shot.

The coloring was done with Stamp 'n Blend markers - Stampin' Up!'s alcohol markers. They blend beautifully and the rose leaf was the perfect holder to keep the tea cup closed. I also used them to color the epoxy hearts which are packaged clear.

Here is the list of my fellow bloggers...I hope you enjoy the hop!
